Gene Cipriano was an American woodwindist and session musician best known for playing clarinet, oboe, flute, and saxophone among other instruments. He played on hundreds of recording sessions, possibly more than any other woodwind musician. He played these genres in his career jazz, pop, and soundtracks, being active from the period 1952 – 2006. He made his own album as a leader titled the First Time Out, on a double CD on which he played all the solos in 2006, on which he played the saxophone, clarinet and English horn.
