During his career, Blue was a six-time All-Star and won the American League Cy Young Award in 1971. After he retired from his 17 year old baseball career, Blue became a baseball analyst for NBC Sports Bay Area. He was also involved in numerous charitable organizations throughout his career including, Safeway All Stars Challenge Sports, automobile donations, celebrity golf tournaments, and charities for children.
