    Naomi Replansky was a self taught American poet and translator. Her well known collection of work includes The Dangerous World: New and Selected Poems, and Collected Poems. She has also translated numerous works from German and Yiddish works into English. Replansky was born in New York City to Jewish immigrants and attended the University of California, Los Angeles, for her bachelor's degree in geography in the 1950s.
