Huey Pierce Smith known as Huey "Piano" Smith, was an American rhythm and blues pianist whose songs like Rocking Pneumonia and the Boogie Woogie Flu and Sea Cruise, was cornerstones of New Orleans R&B and rock ’n’ roll perennials. He was signed to Savoy Records when he was 18 in 1952 and released his first song You Made Me Cry in 1953. In 1957, Smith formed a band called Huey "Piano" Smith and His Clowns and signed with Ace Records. He had a nationwide hit that year with Rocking Pneumonia and the Boogie Woogie Flu, the band released several Billboard charts hit singles in succession. Their most famous single was Don't You Just Know It which was number 9 on the Billboard Pop chart and number 4 on the Rhythm and Blues chart. Smith was inducted into the Louisiana Blues Hall of Fame in 2001.
