Nasseri was born in the Anglo-Persian Oil settlement in Iran. In 1977, Nasseri was allegedly expelled from Iran for protesting against Shah. For a time he travelled between the UK and France until he lost his papers in 1988. He arrived in London without any papers and was returned to the French airport who then detained him at the waiting area for travelers without papers. After having spent years detained, a French human rights lawyer Christian Bourget took up his case and got France and Belgium to offer Nasseri residency in both countries but he refused to sign the papers. In 1999 he was released from the airport's holding area and was offered to go anywhere he liked in Europe but he stayed at the airport until 2006.
Nasseri later returned at the airport in September 2022, he passed on after suffering a a heart attack in November 2022.
