Michael James Aleck Snow was a Canadian multi talented artist who was a painter, jazz pianist, photographer, sculptor and filmmaker best known for Wavelength, a film released in 1967. He made his first film in 1956 tittles A to Z. in 1967 he held his first exhibition of his art work before moving to New York with his wife in the early 1960s. This move proved fruitful as he gained connections, new ideas and his work increasingly gained recognition. When Snow returned to Canada in the 1970s he was an established figure in visual art, a film maker and musician. His work has appeared at exhibitions across Europe, North America and South America.
