Mokshan Nikolay Timofeyevich Antoshkin was a passionate politician, a dedicated Russian Air Force Colonel-General, and a recognized Hero of the Soviet Union for his courageous efforts in the helicopter clean-up of the Chernobyl disaster. The warrior was acknowledged with many significant awards throughout his life, including the Order for Service to the Homeland in the Armed Forces of the USSR, the Order of Levin, the Russian Federation Government award, and the Order "For Merit to the Fatherland". In 2014, he was elected as a deputy of the State Duma. Nikolay passed due to post-COVID-19 complications, leaving behind his beloved wife, Tatiana, his son Sergey, and daughter Elena.
