Yukihiro Takahashi was a Japanese musician, singer, record producer, and actor, who was best known internationally as the drummer and lead vocalist of the Yellow Magic Orchestra, one of Japan’s most successful bands and a major influence on hip-hop, techno and New Wave. In 1977 he released his first solo album titled Saravah. In 1978 he formed another group called the Yellow Magic Orchestra. He went on to release several solo albums in the 1980s and throughout his career. Takahashi continued working until 2018 when he released a reboot of his solo debut album along with re-recorded vocals and features.
