Haim Drukman was an Israeli Orthodox rabbi and politician. He was the most senior religious Zionist leader of the religious Zionist community. He was also the head and founder of Yeshivot, Ulpanot Bnei Akiva and Or Etzion Yeshivat Or Etzion, the largest chain of yeshiva high schools for boys and girls in the religious Zionist community in Israel. Drukman was born in Poland, he and his family moved during the Holocaust and made his way to Mandate Palestine in 1944. He was reunited with his parents after World War II ended. Drukman served in the Israel Defence Forces. He served as the president of the Hesder Yeshiva Union, Ulpanot Bnei, and chairman of Yeshivot. He was also an emissary for World Bnei Akiva in North America and so many more positions. Drukman received the prestigious Israel Prize for Lifetime Achievement.
